About Dr. Jeanty
She earned her degree in medicine at Spartan health Sciences University, St. Lucia and a Master’s in International Health from New York Medical College, New York. After years of working in clinical research, different clinical settings, and teaching medical courses, she found out that many of her students lived with many health challenges. In addition, through conversation with people, she realized that many believed food myths. She realized that education was key in giving people the knowledge to live healthier lives.
How does a doctor end up adding health coach to her skills? Being passionate about health and nutrition, she found out that her dentist was a health coach and did not know what that was. She googled the term “health coach” and came across the renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City that offered a program in health coaching. She decided to learn as much as she could about nutrition, different diet theories, and alternative therapies such as homeotherapy, holistic healing, etc.
When she completed her certification, she realized that she needed to debunk many food inaccuracies and raise awareness of the food industry practices. Her practice has been opened since October 2013.
She is featured every month in “Natural Awakenings”, a health magazine focused on integrative health topics. She was interviewed in March 2015 for the Better Health Show, a health program on the Cable channel 76 for the city of White Plains, New York. Her practice has been opened since October 2013.
